Photography is not about the gear you use. Nor is it about the editing process or the subject before the lens. To me, it’s about capturing a story in a frame.
Photography is my all-time passion; it’s my favorite creative outlet, my source of inspiration. As a kid in Brazil, I used to frequent galleries that showcased the country’s most remarkable photographs. I remember being transported by the images. Moved, emotionally and physically, to a different place.
But I never took that feeling seriously, or rather, professionally, until now. After a long, fifteen years of being an advertising creative, I’ve finally rescued my passion from the sidelines, transforming it into my main focus.
As a photographer, I tend to see beauty and reason in every scenario. Even when things are chaotic, I find my way through, resulting in a photograph that speaks to its depth; allowing your mind to ponder the possibilities behind a frozen moment.
That’s my job. To bring out the story from every moment, and frame it forever.
